Research Associate

Dea is an aspiring clinician-researcher with a passion for advancing culturally informed mental health care. She completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Health Sciences at the University of Toronto and will soon begin her MSc in Pharmacology & Toxicology, where she will focus on the neuroscience and pharmacological treatment of psychiatric disorders.

She is currently a Research Associate at the Albanian-Canadian Mental Health Centre (ACMH), where she supports research exploring how science, community, and lived experience intersect to improve care for underserved populations. Her research experience spans clinical trials, literature reviews, and collaborative academic projects, including her current role at CAMH supporting studies on mood and anxiety disorders.

As a bilingual Albanian-Canadian, Dea is deeply committed to fostering mental health dialogue within the Albanian community and supporting services that reflect our shared values, challenges, and resilience.
